NACHA Releases Two Requests for Comment

On May 11, 2018, NACHA announced two Requests for Comment (RFC) regarding ACH quality and risk management and also proposals on the ACH audit in the NACHA Rules. The link below brings gives members access to documents with more description on each proposal as well as the specific changes being proposed and a sample of each survey.

ACH Quality and Risk Management Topics

NACHA is issuing this Request for Comment to obtain industry feedback on several new topics to help manage risk and improve quality.

NACHA encourages responses from all ACH Network participants and interested parties. Organizations are encouraged to gather and provide feedback on all aspects of this proposal, including any that have impact beyond ACH operations and product management, such as compliance and back office support personnel. ACH Rules Audit Compliance Requirements

NACHA is issuing this Request for Comment (RFC) to gather information and perspectives on proposed revisions to the annual rules compliance audit requirements currently defined within Article One (General Rules) and Appendix Eight (Rules Compliance Audit) of the Rules. Respondents to this RFC are requested to assess the potential benefits, impacts, and costs of these proposed changes to financial institutions and third-parties, and to provide feedback via the ACH Participant Survey.
